Applicable to manics vinyl enthuisasts..
I was doing a random cleaning of my vinyl and noticed on the 12'' (Heavenly version) of You love us, the words "EUYAC HAPPY BIRTHDAY" on the run out grooves.
Bizarre indeed. Just wondering if anyone else has come across any strange inscriptions on their manics vinyl. Gonna have to check the rest of them now, just out of curiosity.

I love vinyl inscriptions. Most of them are pretty generic though.

Ha, I've never noticed that before.
Break My Heart Slowly 7" has "Matt Optimum" scratched into it |

should we try variants of extensions on the chrisp@unity email address? i am guessing .co.uk or .com are the most likely to work?
you never know, we might be missing out on some sort of "easter egg".

Oh and I've got the white label 7" of that, for some reason mine says "Transfermation" on it. I don't even know..

my Windows Live thing says that .co.uk does not exist, but allowed me to send the following to .com
Hi there not even sure if this is a valid email, it's just that chris p @ unity is etched on the latest Manics 7", so I thought I'd try it in case it's some sort of code from Nicky Wire. sorry to disturb if you have no idea what or why this is. cheers Lee will let you know what if anything i get back.

www.unity.com seems to be something about micro-electronics, maybe it's a special message from Sean

Google "chrisp@unity" and see the suggested results. It seems to be on a lot of vinyls:
It's something to do with "deadwax mastering". I dunno what that is (mastering a track so it's suitable for being put on vinyl?) Scroll down and you'll see a list which includes: CHRIS P @ UNITY -> Chris Parmenidis The same list appears again here, to help people avoid finding fakes. And it's all about this guy: http://www.unitymastering.com/masterer.html So it looks like he mastered it so it could go on vinyl. (there's a pic of Postcards on his website - does that mean he mastered the LP version of the album? Anyone want to check if you genuinely have nothing better to do. I mean it. Dusting the mantlepiece might be a more worthwhile pursuit). Last edited by helvissa; 21-03-2011 at 12:39. |

I'm sorry it's not very exciting. |
