Same. I hope they still release the 7" singles though, I'd much rather have the vinyl than the CDs.

I'm struggling to think. I have a few vinyls though.

Nobody Loved You and Further Away. Both great songs, both singles in Japan, both last played live in the '90s (I think). Wankers!

Well, except for the fact that Prologue To History is a better song than any of those!

I *love* CD singles, but they seem to be getting phased out everywhere - I was trying to find them in Amoeba Records in SF not long ago and I ended up asking a clerk where they'd gone; apparently they all got chucked away. 7" vinyl singles were still in abundance, new and old. I'd be alright if the Manics released the b-sides digitally as well as had some limited vinyl singles perhaps!

My Little Empire would be good in the acoustic section... Have fingers firmly crossed that the setlists will be a lot more varied on the new tour!

It's a bit weird really how CD singles are dying off but vinyl still makes an appearance, which despite what all the purists say, doesn't sound too great. I'll buy whatever format the single is released on, just hope it is physical so it's better than just having a song sitting on my laptop that was downloaded. I've only ever downloaded one song before.

I got the cd single of Number 1 by Goldfrapp as it had Beautiful as a bonus track which was only available on the Japanese version of the album. I think the last 7" i bought was Telephone by Lady Gaga as it was a quid.

Dance music especially disco, funk, soul and house sound better on vinyl played in clubs. I think younger (Well younger than me anyway!) people are buying vinyl because they like the fact that you can see the artwork better than on a cd or the tiny thumbnail that you get with a download.

I think masses is the only 7" by the manics i have? I'm not a 100% sure. All my stuff is a bit scattered at the moment. I have a few of the old albums. I just looked through the vinyls i have here and Let Robson Sing on 12". I can't even remember buying that! Must have been a moment of madness. I am a sucker for vinyl though.

Ugh, please no! Some people like to have decent quality sources even if they rip them onto the computer for their MP3 players. I always want CDs of stuff I really love wherever possible, at least until the day all the online stores are selling better than CD quality.

I can't speak for all songs on all online stores but I just checked play.com's top 5 tracks and all of them were above 200kbps, 4 were 320kbps which is well over the bitrate quality of a CD track.
