Something similar for the THB20 would be cool. UK CD, US CD, Astoria DVD, ticket stub, posters, photos, letters etc

Hi, I have a question regarding National Treasures, not necessarily the box, but the signed double cd offered thru the official store back in the day... was that the first album when they started signing and selling their albums in that way?? I'm curious cos' I recently bought one of this signed versions thru e-bay

No it wasn't the first - they've done the 'signed deluxe edition' on all the albums since JFPL.

The Blur boxset is an example of a collection done right, both the album reissues a couple of years ago and the singles collection in 2000 were spot on and choc full of content and fan service.

I think this maybe came back to haunt a few people. £165 for it then.... £400 on eBay now!

£165 seems a bargain!

Same happened with me, Oasis released a super deluxe boxset of their albums on vinyl in 2009 to coincide with their stadium tour. It was like £120-£150 from the Official store, for whatever reason i didn't buy it. It's now on eBay 5 Years later for as much as £1,100!

I hope no one pays 400 quid for this! I own it, and seriously, the quality of the paper sleeves for the CDs/entire artwork, print quality of the poster, quality of the "cardboard" used for the inner casing, the cheap Christmas cracker make-up, lack of b-sides...
Don't get me wrong - I wanted this, I knew what I was getting (apart from the minor damage due to shambolic packaging, anyone remember that disaster???), but it was barely worth the price it cost then. It certainly isn't worth a penny more. The 7"s look and sound alright, that's the best I can say about it, really.
400 pounds, someone's having a laugh!

I was lucky, mine turned up fine. I don't understand why they didn't put all the b-sides across the formats on it. I know it's a single but I think Slash N' Burn even missed Motown Junk? I wish the makeup compact had been a replica of one of the Stay Beautiful or You Love Us ones they gave away back in the day, that would've been a nice touch. I do like the set though, I like the replica vinyl look of the cds, I love the vinyls.. It's definitely one of my most prized possessions but it could've been so much better.

The Chinese often come up with cheap bootlegs of most major box sets and sell them for a fraction of the price. If they'd bothered to do one for National Treasures, their version could easily have ended up with a better production quality.

The photocopied sleeves with the stickers left on are especially dreadful.

I recently picked one of these up, but it’s missing the lipstick and mirror.
With all the damaged and replaced ones out there, would anyone have a lipstick and mirror they’d be willing to part with, so I can complete my box please?
Thanks!
