Archbishop of York - Manics fan? / James on Chris Evans show 23rd Dec

Just heard the wonderful Archbishop of York John Sentamu, a 61-year-old Ugandan-born cleric, doing his "Pause for Thought" slot on Chris Evans' Breakfast Show.

Afterwards, Evans started chatting to him about how they were going to do the Christmas Eve show from the Archbishop's home and started going on about wanting bacon sandwiches. He replied that he did not know about such demands but "there would be lots of fantastic people there, like Tunstall (he didn't bother with the KT bit, haha) and the wonderful singer James Dean Bradfield." Something I never thought I'd hear from the Church of England's second most senior cleric.

Aye I heard that. I think he was just referring to the guests they have booked for the Breakfast show around Christmas, including our JDB and that dull bint KT Tunstall.

I'm pretty sure it was the festive show from the Archbishop's house, as it was the Archbishop who said it, not Evans.... you might be right though.

I've heard that the current Pope, 'Eggs' Benedict XVI is a huge fan of the Holy Bible. Was the inspiration behind him getting into religion apparently.

I'm staunch Church of Satan myself.

As long as James isn't helping to make the bacon sandwiches, it's all good

The fella does indeed seem to have an unfortunate habit of incurring injury when he preps food.

Christ knows what would happen if he attempted a flaming souffle. Doesn't bare thinking about.

How bizarre - although as religious people go I do have rather a soft spot for Mr Sentamu and the way he publisizes issues that are close to him. Plus anyone who gives advice for pronouncing their name as 'left moo, right moo.....' has got to have a sense of humour.
