In honor of the worlds best band coming to an end, I would like the second best to do a cover of kent's "Vi Är Inte Längre Där". With the title "We Are No Longer There."

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lWV8gvdGLSQ

I know it's a wacky idea, but who cares.

That would be fucking awesome! On that note, I want the Manics to come up with an overtly political song like Egoist. Or maybe they could cover that? (Thirty Years War doesn't fully count, there are more immediate topics to go for right now. Kent do.)

edit: to keep this on topic: I want them to do a super-political, Kent-inspired song that James sings as a duet with Markus Mustonen from Kent, because Markus has a groovy, lower voice that might just suit. And he is cool as fuck. He's done a duet with Vera Vinter, so he might be up for it. Ask the drummer, it's the way to go!

I still think they should work with Mick Jones and Paul Simonon

Greg Dulli of The Afghan Whigs. I think his growl and James' voice would be an interesting dichotomy.

I did think he would've been good on RTF or Futurology but never said on here

I have always been a genuine manics fan since the age of 14. Please.. It would be a dream come true if the manics would collaborate with Morten Harket from 80's band Aha. The only good mainstream norwegian music to get outside Norway. Listen to the tune "shapes that go together".. Thanks. Sorry for bad english..

To be honest, I hope there are no more collaborations for the near future.

Just give us a 10 song album, all belters. Don't over produce or over think it. Just some rock tunes, some quirky post-punk tunes, and an acoustic number.

Then get out and tour.

12 song album. In fact I want 18 as I know they've got a great double album of Rock songs in them still, but seem to think nobody wants that.
RTF would suffer if it was a double album, but they have got a more thought-out KYE in them.
And agree to the tour! Hope they come back to Liverpool soon!

B-side are a waste of time nowadays sadly, so fill it up!

On Topic: Siouxsie and yes, Paul McCartney!

Depends what they're trying to do really. Someone like Karin Dreijer would be great by me, but think she'd be suited to a Lifeblood type sound, or maybe Rewind The Film and Futurology rather than Everything Must Go, Send Away The Tigers or whatever..
