Someone film this please .. no way I can go. If it was the UK I'd try and get tickets.
I have never met Axl myself and wouldn't want to. But I have met Slash and Duff. Both cool as fuck.

Very good for the band, get some new fans hopefully. They have to play some rocking earlier stuff, surely? Fucking Ocean Spray or a weak and flat EMG won't do anything. I'm pleased this is happening though, shame it's not in the UK otherwise I'd think about going to see GnR!

Bang on time too, I think Axl has had a word with himself (or the newly reunited band made it conditional)

I saw them twice on their European leg last year. Both times played for two and a half hours and seemed to turn up on stage at expected time.

Axl's voice struggled at times on the slower songs, but was fine elsewhere - I think they rarely play concerts on successive nights any more, partly to give his voice dequate rest between shows.

Both shows had a main support act (Biffy Clyro was in Paris, can't remember who in London) who got 45 minutes and a second support who got about half an hour. Don't think they've announced if there's a second support act so there's a chance the Manics might get an hour.

On a completely separate but still related note, have they ever performed A Billion Balconies Facing the Sun with Duff?

I hope so. The fans can't sit around for a gig to start at midnight, run either two songs or two hours and then go to work the next day.

If they have to rely on public transport to get home they're stranded

I believe once during the PFAYM, possibly one of the London gigs?

Edit: Well the songs were played live in London, and I do remember they were supposed to have Duff join onstage but maybe it fell through.

London dates got rescheduled due to acute laryngitis. Defo wasn't there at the new ones.. I'd've noticed

Feck - I'd be tempted to make a trip of it for this gig. GnR and MSP - now that should be a night to remember.

I've seen GnR on a number of occasions. When Axl is on form he is electric (.....when he is on form.....). I have also left gigs claiming (falsely it would seem) that I am never giving 'that little fuck' any of my money ever again.

Duff was meant to join them at the Southampton gig but missed it as he got stuck in traffic.

Yeah, right....heard that one before.

I seem to remember Slash or Duff saying he’d played with “James Dean Bradley” recently
