There's so obviously nothing physical or even digital coming out on the 'release date' of WMTTB. But we do get a remix 12" for EGDM.

Along with the unnecessary delay, this might be Sony's worst launch campaign yet.

There are no major albums* coming out on the week of Futurology, or even the week before, so if ever Sony was going to do a campaign right, this was the one to do it.

*La Roux is the only album of note on the 7th. Is she even a top 20 thing now?

Has there even been any promotion for this album apart from the 'two singles' that aren't even proper singles or are they? It's out in like just over 3 weeks and unless you come onto here or a big Manics fan checking up on them all the time then you'd have no idea they have a new album out - like my friends or even my brother, I had to tell them all about the 'singles' to make them aware. Will this album drop like a lead pencil like Lifeblood did, with its impressive 2 weeks in the top 75?

I think this will probably be the case.

My brother was also unaware that two singles have been released, although he had heard WMTTB on Nation Radio in South Wales a couple of times...

I hope not. I hated having to listen to all the shite that came with it all day. I'd much prefer if they did a stream or something in the build up. Didn't the Gruniad stream one of there albums a while back?

I think it's very unfair of me to expect another Journal For Plague Lovers from the Manics but I still do every time.

Morrissey's album is out the following week. Judging by the condition Morrissey is in, the Manics are well in the box seat regarding launches and promotion.

Morrissey falling ill is very good publicity, it might make people feel a bit sorry for him.

They shouldn't, he's still a prat, hope Manics chart higher than him.
