“It’s 20 years of ‘This Is My Truth’, so we might do something around that,” Wire told NME. “Only because we have so much stuff that’s never been heard. In my archive, that’s the one that takes up the most space. I don’t know about gigs, but there’s just so much stuff that no one has ever heard. It’s our biggest selling album.”

“There’s a brilliant unreleased version of ‘Tsunami’. The original demo of ‘Tolerate’ is actually so crap, that it’s brilliant. To think that Rob Stringer came down and saw that one as a first single, then we’d go on to sale three and a half million albums around the world with a lyric like that. I still wonder how we did it.”
The interview made me think that the re-release was a possibility rather than confirmed. It reminds me a lot of how Nicky makes promises about setlists...

An anniversary release of TIMTTMY not confirmed until it's confirmed, obviously.

If I was guessing (which I am, so here I shall continue...) I think it's hugely likely, and it would seem to make sense to announce it in just over a couple of weeks' time to coincide with the actual anniversary of 14th September.

I hate new posts to this thread now because every time I see there is one I am thinking 'ah! is it finally... no... no it's still not.'

And now I am part of the problem!

Better a false alarm than dead silence I think This and Suede's Blue Hour are my most anticipated releases of the year.

Sadly i really doubt this is going to happen. I think Nicky might be too busy dicking about with his old polaroids.

I think these are the Manics songs as heard through the Sega head of Sean. The Truth demos can't be better than these.

[Tiptoes in to avoid setting off "The Excitement Alarm"]

.....I can see this being announced on Monday for release first week November as their profile isn't going to get any higher than the 24 hours micro buzz flyin' around this BBC 'red button, over priced lager in a plastic cup, end of summer, betwixt massive trees gig' tomorrow...

"Well we set off a bit of a buzz on the red button. Let's call on that goodwill in a few months when it will still be there!" is my Doomsday scenario to that idea!

If there's going to be anything, I imagine they'd announce it on (or just before) the actual 20th anniversary of its release which is Friday. If we hear nothing by the weekend I think we can assume it's not happening.

It would appear that there won’t be any gigs for the 20th anniversary: https://mobile.twitter.com/seanmoore...19909672902657

Well let's hope they announce the re-release on Friday

A TIMT gig with a sting section back would have been ace. I'll even take a few low gig intimate acoustic gigs.

All I want is a nice glossy luxury booklet and some demos. Some scans of handwritten lyrics too. Some archive video footage and you can take my £100.
