Manic Songs You Love but Others Hate
Been reading through the threads here, and shocked to see some Manic songs I adore being slated by other people here:
Facing Page: Top Left JCEQT Autumn Song William's Last Words Underdogs but there again I hate Masses Again the Classes, and Tolerate which most Manic fans Love I guess So the point of this thread is: which Manic songs do you love that other fans seem to hate? Which Manic songs do you hate which other Manic fans love? and finally which Manic songs are untouchable? For example 'Motown Junk' is surely untouchable? No one can be a Manics' fan and hate that? Surely? |

1985 and If You Tolerate would be my top two tunes. they are widely loved by fellow Manics fans, but those who don't like them tend to be vocal and passionate in their dislike.
Motorcyle Emptiness and perhaps Faster are the "untouchables", although i dare say someone somewhere here doesn't care for one or both.

Err no
It's a good song to listen to with the headphones on, but I suppose it's one you have to be in the mood for! |

Wattsville Blues, hated listening to it on release, have since learned to appreciate the Wire's 'ahem' idiosyncratic voice.

Miss Europa Disco Dancer Crucifix Kiss Solitude Sometimes Is Indian Summer Autumsong....sometimes Repeat Be Natural My Guernica Royal Correspondant Love's Sweet Exile Out of Time I hate 1985, but everybody seems to think it's the highlight of Lifeblood. I think it's one of the weak songs along with Cardiff Afterlife. Motorcycle Emptiness, Faster, Motown Junk, Yes, Sleepflower are untouchables to me

I think New Art Riot is quality, but very rarely hear it mentioned.

I agree with TFHBH4E. Not many people seem to like it, but I think it's great!

It was the first song off PFAYM to get stuck in my head. I had my heels dug in for a while cos nobody needs Wire's voice in their head, but it grew on me ha.
