2x vinyl as the physical edition is pretty much the worst thing they could have thought about, so much for the excitement of getting a new single from them. They probably won't release the b-sides digitally either so we're doomed to have shitty quality vinyl rips as the only versions available.

The video is fun and all but I can't be arsed with enjoying it because the single news have disappointed so much.

This is pretty much how I feel right now. Releasing only on vinyl is such a bad idea - the last album may have been about "mass communication", now the pendulum seems to have swung too far the other way, making the songs exclusive to purchasers of a largely dead, niche format.

I actually think it is amazing we get ANY physical releases, given the sales of physical singles in general and in regards of the Manics.
The last "successful" physical single the Manics released WAS a vinyl 7", Postcards was No10 best selling vinyl single in the UK for 2011, believe or not. I suppose the record company is aware of that. Vinyl singles are a niche market for collectors, obviously, but I actually prefer the exclusivity of not making these b-sides available as commercial downloads. Mind you, I am a geek and I own a record player, so I don't feel like missing out on this one.
Two 7"s and no CD seems like an odd decision, though, I wouldn't be surprised if a CD release does get announced still.

If you mean the long-haired guy at the end of the 'getting ready in the mirror' segment, he says 'tidy'. Alongside its regular use, it's used in Wales as slang to mean 'good', 'excellent', etc.

True that, I presume 20 copies including mine! But just how many did they shift of the CD singles? I think it's an odd decision not to have a CD release when there's two vinyls, if they are aiming for collectors this is daft. Or are we getting another stupid "exclusive with xy-pre-orders"-disaster? Or an exclusive Classic Rock CDS? They have no sense about these things, I think it's possible!

The song has defo grown on me though, I think the video helps it for the feel I love the beer glasses people are drinking from, you seldom see those around anymore.

£4.99 is a good price as a lot retail for £6.99 these days. It's thicker vinyl and a better sleeve.
