At least one box was left unattended on a street corner. A friend of mine helped herself to a few and gave them all to fans who weren't at the London gigs. She gave one to me, which I was pretty pleased about as I'd been at four or five gigs of that tour, but not the London one. It's one of my most treasured possessions, not just because of what it is, but because she could easily have eBayed them, but instead gave them to other fans.

Why would anyone want one at £50? I understand that some are never happy without everything in their collection but... it's hardly the band's best work is it?! Suppose an item's rarity often eclipses quality when there are hardcore fans around, in any field.

But hey enough rambling, if it can get nearly half a ton in Hannah's photography fund, aceface.

It might not be their best, but it is pretty good! 3 whole original Manics songs, not available anywhere else (ok, except the Japanese Lipstick Traces), produced in very limited quantities, £50 might be a lot, but it's not crazy.

£50 for some 7" of Design For Life where they've spelt the producer's name wrong or something, that's foolish, but not for songs that you can't find elsewhere!

I think I paid about £10 for a New copy on ebay in 2006/2007.

I had sent off for the free copy in 2005 but didn't get a copy - wasn't there a cockup which meant people who sent away for it first/early on didn't get a copy?

Is that true? I sent off for one pretty swiftly but didn't get one, I just put it down to there being plenty of more rabid fans than me out there.

No way I'd fork out £50 for one now though, I've got all the songs anyway.
