I have a hilarious sinking feeling that we may have already written some of the Manics future hits. Which would mean one of two things:
a) Nicky has become such a caricature that Manics songs write themselves, which is bad.
b) Nicky will have read this thread and thought "maan, that sounds BRILLIANT", which is worse.

Wow, that one's pretty good too - only I sort of conflated tracks 10 and 11 and read it as Bumming on the Apocalypse.

Track 11 I would want to hear first from yours Aaron. Would it be the first single?

I can actually imagine that.

The pre-chorus would be
(Diminuendo, James solo)
Oh, Ive just got hooooome....
(Gets HUUUGE, full band, probably some pointless string quartet too) CHORUS:
But it's so very dark,
I looked for your heart,
But it got lost in the NIIIIIIIGGGGHT.
(oooh, la, la, la, la)
Oh, it's so very dark,
Let's go back to the start,
Turn on the LIIIIIIIIGHT

Solo
verse
repeat.

Why write songs when your fans can write them for you?

From the 2012 standard edition of "This. That. Everything. All Your Life." (the signed one, of course)

1. Won't Lovers Revolt Now?
2. Tomorrow 60
3. Diary for Death Enthusiasts
4. The Present is 4 Ever Replayed Right Now
5. This Song Is Not About Richey (Though It Could Be Taken That Way)
6. The Third Minor Dejection
7. Underdogs 2: Dog Harder
8. The Vulnerability of the One Shall Outlast the Victory of the Masses
9. Richard Nixon is Dead - Long Live Richard Nixon
10. Mr. Europa, Trial Lawyer

Described as Everything Must Go for 40 somethings, written from the perspective of a twenty three year old grocery bagger and listened to through the ears of a small dog on PCP.
