Ah thank you!

Someone (i can’t remember who but thank you if you’re reading this) sent me the 2 dvds years ago and I’d just had them in storage since.

I know the quality of the recording is dogshit by modern standards but this is 2006, precious few phones could record video and it’s probably digital cameras of the day being used.

There isn’t a lot of JDB solo video about so I didn’t want this to be lost. Turns out old DVD-Rs fade and corrupt and these were about to go...

Oxford includes the elusive Kyffin extended solo! Worth it just for that. Cheers for sharing these, both of you.

I still think it's hilarious that JDB had to have guys named James, Sean and Nick as part of his touring band.

Oh yeah but there wasn't a Wayne until Wayne joined JDB's touring band and now the Manics can't get rid of him!

Thanks for these - had a good listen this morning. I thought this era (running from the Past Present Future tour to the SATT one) was the peak for the Manics/James as a live performer (I was too young for the Richey era), so it was good to hear these again.

I do wonder if in a world where Covid happened if we'd be getting a JDB solo tour to support the new album, and if he would have dipped back in to performing any Great Western songs.

PPF and SATT were great gigs as I recall. Especially loved the SATT Astoria gig.
To kick off with Stay Beautiful was just brilliant.

Not too sure a tour would've happened without covid .. he said he had to get back to the day job in a recent interview but another roughtrade appearance would've been lovely

Thumbs up

Thank you so much for this, I was at the Leadmill watching from the DJ box, boyfriend worked there at the time so also got to meet James just before the gig. He was so lovely and signed a few bits for me. Haven’t seen anything since that night, so really nice to see these few snippets.
