It's absolutely ridiculous that you can't stream the new song or watch the video on YouTube across the globe. It's obviously nothing to do with the bands stance, but it does make a mockery of their 'internationalist' views on the new track. I mean are we not all human beings? Agree with the sentiments above that in this day and age we still have these silly restrictions.

It's totally stupid, but it's not their fault. They don't have a deal here in the US and their record/publishing company are the ones responsible for geoblocking the video and single. Sean has said as much on Twitter.

It's not each to his own, it's nonsense. There is absolutely no evidence for that.

Tell that to The Independent.

Donald Trump wants to ban the internet, plans to ask Bill Gates to ‘close it up’

And Time...

Donald Trump Wants to Close Off Parts of the Internet

And whoever the fuck else...

Thought you'd have seen this
Donald Trump wants to 'close up' the Internet Dec 8, 2015?

Thought you'd have heard about How Trump’s ‘ban’ on science words could harm public health?

Trump is certainly a blowhard and probably not a genius, but the idea that he can or would ban a band or artist from the US or the US market is ridiculous.

Hell, I'd even go so far as to say there's a pretty large market for stuff criticizing him. Think Fire and Fury.

Regardless, Trump has zero to do with the Manics/US - nothing that's going on here is new. They've rarely had a stable record deal in the US post TIMTTMY. It's strange given the size of the market and their popularity abroad, but it is what it is. I also don't think they've ever cared that much, so they haven't tried to change the dynamic.

Course I'll be amazed if he's heard of Manics at all, but don't think it's beyond him to try to.get summat banned purely cos he disagrees with it, which is why I brought up the internet and scientists stuff. That said, he's been giving satirists all over the world a field day and nobody's up against a wall yet..
