I like the Stereophonics' first two albums but live they aren't up to scratch. Manics win.

The Stereophonics are just another average band, the Manics are more than just another band - there's more to them then just their sound and lyrics.

One could say theres more life in a tramps vest than a Stereophonics gig or album.

Well I saw the Manics at the Civic in June and it was excellent but I saw the Stereophonics there the week after it was much more fun, the Phonics crowd were much livelier and louder. The bloke sitting next to me at the Manics gig kept falling asleep.

I'd take a sleeping bag with me to a Stereophonics gig. Snoozeville or what!

He might have been in his 90's though Sue! Too much excitement for him!

True, but average doesn't neccessarily mean "bad". I think they're an alright bad and certainly not deserving of some of the responses here. Ah well, personal opinion and all that.

Incidently, the Stereophonics probably have a bigger following here than the Manics. There not a huge band or anything, but more people over here know of them then they do the Manics. It's bot because they're a better band or anything, it's just they actually tour here and are somewhat better promoted then the Manics in this country.

Hmmm...I could say something similar about Oasis, but I won't.

manics v stereophonics is a comical mismatch, it's like comparing a carrot to a roast dinner.

maybe sometimes you're not hungry and you just want a carrot. but clearly a roast dinner is much much better.

PS I hate carrots

PPS I don't literally hate carrots, but I do hate the figurative carrot in my above analogy. OK, I don't hate them, but they're still... just a carrot.
