Bah - 4 million albums sold. Why do they need to be on the cover? I expect they're another whiney emo band who've been on the cover loads of times in their short career.

I like Paramore
I would have preferred the manics on the cover though

Yes, you would be correct in that assumption. NME just like them because they like any band who can play guitar who look pre-pubescent.

They make me feel quite violent. Seriously, like your reaction to Pink Floyd.

I don't mind Paramore and Decode was one of the best songs of 2008, but Manics on the cover >>> Paramore on the cover (especially as tiny Hayley was on the last NME cover, with Jamie T as a main star).

let's send emails to NME what we think about it, shall we?

Paramore may well have sold four million albums but i've never heard any of their songs or seen any videos. The first i ever knew of them was all the pics of the girl singer posted in the celeb crush thread on this forum.

I didn't know who they were either until my 15 year old niece started going bonkers over them and blackmailing me into hearing some of their tunes. I suppose they're a decent enough band for the teenage set. Personally, I think they're a bit on the useless tripe side.

I can't help but see a huge similarity between Paramore's success and that of No Doubt back in the mid-90s.

It's just classic NME hyping every band under the sun because they don't want to miss out on "the next big thing".

Is anyone going to scan the article in? We yanks would really really appreciate it! xo

Edit - the Manics part, not Paramore, just to clarify (though I'm sure it was understood, but, so much Paramore talk I just wanted to specify!...)
