Well if you book far enough in advance hotels might only be £30

There are few hotels around the venue which aren't too extortionate. Not exactly 5-star palaces either, mind you, but it's somewhere to stay. Chelsea Guest House, Euro Hotel and Euro Lodge

I've just bought a ticket. It cost me £85! I can't believe how the booking fee can be nearly £12! and postage £8. What the frilling feck is that about?

Anyway... there are only 2 tickets left on Seatwave. £65 each plus extortionate hidden fees!

I'm looking forward to it anyway.

(oh I see... it was sold out.... Well done me for finally succumbing to naughty ticket re-sellers. )

Is it just me or does "Seatwave" sound like a euphemism for flatulence?

Ouch, you'd have been best asking on here, or using ScarletMist which is brilliant.

Just as a heads up, Ticketweb are selling standing tickets for both Brixton shows at face value so no need to be buying off dodgy ticket sites just yet.

As this thread is specific to the Saturday show, here's the link: http://www.ticketweb.co.uk/user/?reg...l&event=392156

I know... I got stung. OH BUGGER.

Nevermind. I've got a ticket for Brum and I was very overexcited as - perhaps I'll be beheaded if I admit to this - I haven't seen them live for 14 years!!! (I saw them at Southampton in 1996. I was overcome and just avoided seeing them for years... (sorry, don't mean to be all intensely-intense...) I was always fond of them (I was in a band once and kept slipping in Manics references that I hoped no one would notice), but tried to keep away. But they keep pulling me back in. So here I am).

So as my friend is going to Brixton I went "YES! MUST GO!" and so bought the first ticket I could find. Like a right royal plonker, quite frankly. (but really, £85 isn't much if you divide it over 14 years, is it!).

I've never thought of that... I've never bought off that website before, and definitely won't be able to now!

If hardly anyone on this forum was going to the gig, then who exactly would be turning up, considering it's sold out?!

Side note: Is it too soon to be getting excited? (:
Haha, there are loads of fans that aren't part of this forum! I only joined the other day.

I'm going

That is very true. I know quite a few long term, and what you could probably consider hardcore, MSP fans who don't come anywhere near FD.

I never actually thought that I'd become all that active on here but couldn't resist in the end. The fad of posting on here quite a lot will probably pass, but I'm rather enjoying it right now.

I was going to go but now I'm not allowed because I ran my phone bill up to £775...
I'm so so upset.

See, I wasn't planning to join, because it seems to be such a tight-knit community and I thought I wouldn't be accepted because although I'm a massive fan, I wouldn't consider myself 'hardcore' and everyone seems to already know each other and know people directly connected to the manics.

But I won tickets to the Hard Rock Cafe gig and wanted to find out information, so I joined and it's not been as scary as I thought!
