Aw, better than getting to the front then falling over and having to claw your way towards back to even breathe due to being a drunken fool!

Memories... Actually we have Millenium gig memories...

We got to watch the performance as part of the international broadcast. Tv on all freaking day -even though we knew they were not going to play that early. Were excited all day -like when they played Cuba.

V kind of argued with her family because she didn't want to go to her auntie's place but to stay by herself in the house watching TV (that's what it sounded like to her folks). A was going to tape the performance -with V's vcr -that happened to be at A's place...

And the really really pathetic thing is that when the moment finally arrived, A went and screwed up the only thing she was meant to do right that day. Yes the tape:

"Because it wasn't my vcr, I wasn't that familiar with how it worked -yet I thought I was so- I payed little attention I was so excited... The channel in the vcr was wrong. I taped five minutes of something else... I still can't get over it".

Oh -but we were happy in the end, nevertheless...

HAHHAHAHAH... Nice!

I wish I would be in the gig but I wasn't even a fan back then. anyway, I have the dvd and I enjoy it alot. I love the little dance that James did, Nicky change outfit like his friggin maddona, Nicky trying to smash the bass in the end (laughed so hard I almost pee), the interviews between and ofcourse the songs themsleves. Well I love every bit in the dvd.

some good, some bad memories from that gig. I wasn't in a good place at the time, but me and Kev were the two lucky ones on our gate who got in before the gates crashed, resulting in excellent barrier positions. Plus Wire wore the Culture Slut top I made him - and he wasn't really in the habit of wearing fan-made stuff back then. I kinda squeeed - a lot.

I loved him then, and I love him now - he sent me crazy stickers all over his questionnaire which I got in the post yesterday, and I'll pop it on Delirium when I have sorted out the evilness that is Dreamweaver.

Me and Kev look so YOUNG!!!!

Unbelievably, I have two unused tickets for this gig sitting in a cupboard upstairs. My husb and I split up three weeks before it, and although we were still on good terms we decided that travelling down to Cardiff together on Millenium eve, to be at a gig full of people toasting the future, was not going to be good. So we didn't go, and I spent the only NYE of my adult life at home alone - in bleedin' 1999!

The happy ending is that we got back together two years later and it was his hand I was holding in Llandudno in May. And a few months ago we took a deep breath and finally watched the gig on DVD - oh, the pain!!

I ended up sat at home that night. A friend of mine had an aunt who lived in Cardiff and asked if I fancied going to the gig and staying at her aunt's house. I wanted to go, but for some reason, my parents decided that the family should all sit in the lounge in front of the telly to mark the turn of the millennium.

I've just about forgiven them now...
