Stop wasting time and get in the studio and record another album, a good one this time. End of.

Fuck the hits. The album tracks deserve to be played. I hope the May gigs are good as I'll just avoid the winter tour otherwise. I take it we will see a couple of new songs to go on the GH compilation?

Thanks for the clip michael, interesting.

I'm quite happy for them to do another GH, especially if we get a couple of great new tracks on it like last time.

And from the looks of previous setlists, it looks like they do change things up a bit.

Though if they do a "vote for what you want on the setlist" thing, I'm asking for Miss Europa Disco Dancer hehe.
I would say it almost certainly doesn't mean that, given America doesn't know the hits.

What would be the equivalent to ADFL and Tolerate or Masses on another greatest hits cd though? It'd be a charting disaster hence pointless.

To be honest i'm just looking forward to any tour they do. They never cease to amaze me

There will come a time when they won't tour anywhere near as much and we'll all be wishing for any chance to see them then!

They're probably better off not making a big deal of this unless they want more failure and misery to reflect on for the next album. The last Suede and Blur comps kinda bombed, didn't they? Both were improvements over the previous ones and came off the back of their live reunions.

They also came off the back of no new material since their last compilations. Wouldn't expect the next one to be as successful as Forever Delayed but I'm interested to see what'll get included.

I hope NME ask Mark Beaumont to review it again. Hilarious results.
But I can't really see how the Greatest Hits tour will differ too much from the PFAYM tour. Unless they work up the stamina to play about 28 songs, and make it good.

I see what you mean...I don't know, first Manics songs I was introduced to were Motorcycle Emptiness, If You Tolerate This, and Your Love Alone. I know it's not worth it at this point in their career to try 'breaking' America, because they've seen it hasn't worked. But if they're promoting it, you'd think they'd visit here anyway, doing their most well-known music for an audience who might not know everything but is familiar with their most popular songs...ok, now I lost my point heh. Does that make sense, somewhat?

Basically, I'm being selfish and want to see them in concert because there's no way I can get to Europe anytime soon LOL.

I'd prefer a best of rather than a GH, it will probably be the first Manics Album I don't buy even with new tracks I'll probably just download those.

If it came with a bonus CD of B sides they've never released then that may change my mind, but that's about all that will do it, eithier that or a copy of Fifa 2012.

They should do one like The Stereophonics did a couple of years back, 'A Greatest Hits' one for the Supermarket buyers and the deluxe one witch included the Greatest Hits one, CD 2 which had the minor hits and fave album tracks and a DVD compilation of the singles and talking commentary. It worked for them as its sold over 800,000 and has been in the top 100 for 126 weeks.
