playing Patrick Bateman during an interpretation of The Last Supper would give a really nice post-modernist touch, and indeed would let us see if the critics are paying attention.

So are they performing the music, or acting in it? Nicky made it sound like they were doing the music during the interview last week, but I could have misinterpreted him.

Yeah, I thought they were writing music to be used, and now it's turned into a Manics' gig where they're playing... I dunno... "Abide With Me"? Or if it's the supper scene, maybe a cover of "Eat It".

Always Look on the Bright Side of Life?

They could always do something from Godspell.

Ok, Jesus Christ Superstar or Godspell, done by the Manics. I'd see it!

Is this just the old quote?

Quote:
we're doing something with Michael Sheen in April, he's recreating a passion play in Port Talbot and he's asked us to write something for it.

Manic Street Preachers to play hushed role in Michael Sheen's Passion in Port Talbot

THEY'VE sold out all over the world and now Manic Street Preachers are coming to Port Talbot.

But this is not part of the Welsh rockers' latest tour. Instead it's a special appearance for their mate Michael Sheen.

They will be playing a hush-hush role in the actor's labour of love, The Passion, a spectacular outdoor production that will take place in various locations around the town over Easter Weekend.

They will be appearing during The Supper, which will take place on the Saturday night at the Seaside Social and Labour Club in Dalton Road in the town's Sandfields estate.

A spokeswoman for National Theatre Wales said: "They are taking part but we don't know exactly what they'll be doing yet."

Tickets will be allocated following a draw. Anyone wanting to be in with a chance must register with the box office.

It's terribly hush-hush, isn't it? I haven't heard about this at all. It's the most well-kept secret since... the last time there was a secret that wasn't very well-kept.

Dave McKean says via Twitter, "Port Talbot Passion film now called The Gospel of Us. May change again, who knows. Now the real work starts." Is he working on it too? Follow @NTWtweets for more news.
