I did wonder! That's very cool. Would it need galvanising or similar over the engraving to stop it going rusty? Or would it be OK? Where do you even go for that, a metalwork place? Guessing not a luthier

Aluminium never rusts, the only thing that can happen is it dulls with wear; nothing a little polish can't fix. One of my mates is a gun engraver so he does any bits n bobs I want, he engraved the rose tattoo on the body of the guitar.
