It's really nice, small site but they manage to fit 4 or 5 stages in - one outside (literally the back of an articulated lorry), then barns and tents. Really chilled atmosphere.

Cheers for that, looks a good festival to take my girlfriend to who has never been to one and likes the, shall we say cleaner way of living. The toilets and showers may be better as a small festival.

Now that they've wrapped up their EMG 20 shows, my focus is now on their set at Truck Festival. I'm going to this one and looking forward to it, but they're only scheduled to play for an hour, which is a bit disappointing.

Anyway, what do you fellow FD'ers think the set will consist of? Given the likely length of the performance, I'm guessing it has to be a greatest hits set, including all the EMG singles plus maybe one or two album tracks at a stretch?

Their Eden Project performance may give us some idea as to what they might play at Truck, but I'm assuming that will be a full-length, 90min approx set?

Greatest hits & one or two "we've just done an EMG tour" songs. So whatever they liked playing. Maybe NSAF, Enola, that kind of stuff. It will possibly show what they feel has stood the test of time, and what they enjoy playing.

I've just written a quick blog on my work page with some suggestions who to see: https://www.gigantic.com/news/keep-on-truckin

But Manics fans will definitely love The Holy Orders. Taking heavy influence from post rock but with JDB-esque vocals - they're a bit of a must see.

Playing the Veterans stage early on the Saturday and I suspect they were added to the bill because that's the Manics day.

Same, I live about a 10 minute drive away, but I'm still tempted. Shame they didn't do day tickets, but I might see if anyone is selling a cheap ticket tomorrow.

There are some stellar bands there but the overall lineup maybe less so.

The triple run of Black Peaks, Lonely the Brave and Moose Blood today is proof that proper British rock is alive and well. Sadly Basement are on at the same time as the Manics as they come with a modern grungy pedigree and would be well worth a watch. Gnarwolves are probably worth a watch for some energetic punk. Other than that though....
