Manics Albums as EPs
Had a thought for a thread I haven't seen before: Manics albums as EPs! Basically boil down each album to four tracks that define the album. No other criteria other than the four track limit, feel free to include b-sides and non-album singles as long as they belong to the era in question.
I'll do my full list later (currently sitting in a toilet in Heathrow Terminal 2) but here's mine for TUVL. My criteria is based on tracks that sort of meet the grand statement or feeling of album so not necessarily my favourite tracks or singles (my GT EP and EMG EPs have BIG omissions). Generation Terrorists EP: Slash'N'Burn You Love Us Love Sweet Exile Suicide is Painless Gold Against the Soul EP: From Despair to Where La Tristessa Durera Life Becoming a Landslide Roses in the Hospital The Holy Bible EP: Yes Of Walking Abortion Faster PCP Everything Must Go EP: Enola/Alone Everything Must Go Further Away No Surface All Feeling This is my Truth, Tell me Yours EP: Ready for Drowning My Little Empire Be Natural Black Dog on My Shoulder Know Your Enemy EP: Lifeblood EP: 1985 I Live to Fall Asleep Glasnost Solitude Sometimes Is Send Away the Tigers EP: Send Away the Tigers Your Love Alone is Not Enough Imperial Bodybags Welcome to the Deadzone Journal for Plague Lovers EP: Peeled Apples All is Vanity Facing Page: Top Left William's Last Words Postcards from a Young Man EP: Postcards from a Young Man Some Kind of Nothingness The Descent (Pages 1 and 2) Golden Platitudes Rewind the Film EP: This Sullen Welsh Heart Rewind the Film Running Out of Fantasy 30 Years War Futurology EP: Europa Geht Durch Mich The Next Jet to Leave Moscow Black Square Empty Motorcade Resistance is Futile EP: A Song for the Sadness In Eternity Hold Me Like a Heaven The Ultra Vivid Lament EP: Still Snowing in Sapporo Quest for Ancient Colour Diapause Afterending
