Project Lifeblood

Hi there

right, with a mostly positive response in the Twitter thread, let's see if we can't get Lifeblood back in the album chart, even if it is in the arse end of it and only for a week. it should give Mr Wire something to tweet about.

my thought is that if the shit awful Ringo 2012 by Ringo Starr can get to somewhere around 180 with all of 700 sales then surely we can muster enough interest to do the same?

the best date i can come up with is the week of Monday April 2 - Friday April 6, as with Easter falling then there may be a lack of sales of other albums. if anyone has a different date to suggest please do.

in order to participate to the full you would need to buy the album from a UK store that participates in the charts. the places and prices i have found thus far are :

Townsend Records - CD - £5.99 or part of 2 for £10 deal

HMV - CD - £4.93

Amazon - CD - £3.97

amazon - mp3 - £4.49

i cannot access the UK iTunes store at all from here, if someone could provide the link and price for it there that would be most excellent. likewise, if you know of another online store whose sales feed into the chart, please share it here.

we also need to set up one of them facebook pages - i can have a stab at it, but if anyone who can do one wants to volunteer, nice one and thanks in advance.

if you can't or won't participate in purchasing, could we at least ask you "like" the facebook group when it is up and running and share a link to it, you never know someone on your friend list might want to join in.

remember, this isn't one of those "oh let's make this Record Number One" things at a protest at anything at all, just an attempt to make a great album make a beep on certain radars, the band in particular.

thanks all!!!!

^ Seems good. Unfortunately, I'm a bit strapped for cash, but I'd like to take part in it, just not now. So sorry.

that's cool, moral support is just as valuable! it will probably be a spectacular failure, but then Nicky did say we should all try and fail together!

At most about 20 people might actually do this. You'd be better off donating the money to charity.
