I agree about U2 and Arctic Monkeys.

Great album, and probably my favourite era for b-sides.

I'm not even a fan of most of those bands and only "follow" them from the side as a passerby, yet it is a bit silly to claim that all the albums by each of those bands sounds the exact same...

(also yeah Lifeblood is their best work, has their best b-sides, etc etc my usual opinion)

perfect sense - i dare say the majority of us here hold, say, THB, in very high regard, but it's not an album you want to play all the time. sometimes you just want something "a touch more accessible".

going off-topic a bit....

they have a point in as much as the live is better. i was subjected to a number of live recordings of (i think) I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight as they throw in some Frankie covers. i suspect people were hoping i would take out Bono when i heard them, or at least lamp Larry or Adam. anyway, their take on Frankie is as woeful as i feared (Bono seems to run out of breath during all of two verses of Two Tribes), but the actual U2 song, which is complete shit on the album, actually does sound impressive on stage.

now back to Classic Rock hating and LB lovin', please.....

I wish I could get into Lifeblood as much as the average FD member

Needless to say anyone who respects the opinion of a magazine called Classic Rock can't be taken seriously.

This whole list is all wrong, taking Lifeblood out of the equation the rest of the list is disjointed.

Journal only good?

I've never really gotten in to 'Lifeblood' either. Maybe someday it'll speak to me.

Tip for falling in love with Lifeblood. Find an empty room early in the morning and play it very loud.
