Thing is, it's a tribute to someone who deserves one and that's all well and nice, but it doesn't alter the fact that it's a tiresome tune and a naff lyric. You can write something about a worthy topic and still mess it up. Terrible choice of single IMO.

How the hell did I forget Askew Road?? I think it's a fine tune and a great lyric, it wouldn't though be my choice for a single either.

Yup, it's a poor song and won't dent the charts either. I am predicting now it'll enter at 15 and drop out within the week.

I think it's a great single, though I like SALWTG or Emigre better. But I agree with the one who said that it may do pretty well because it actually sounds a bit like Razorlight. So I think it may turn into a small hit!

Wonder who the guests on his tour will be..

I wonder if they'll bother putting any merchandise out at the forthcoming tourdates? I hope so.

ah christ that's a terrible choice!!
won't even make the top 40 i don't reckon.
that's really poor, who the deuce decides what gets released as singles?
There's no way that it's single material, it's probably got the least catchy chorus on the album and it drags on like nobody's business.
First single should have been Emigre
followed by Still A Long Way To Go and then i wouldn't have then been surprised to see both singles and the album go top 10.
I don't think it shows the album in a good light at all and will probably end up with them deciding definitely not to release another single off the album.
Hmph

I don't get this support for Émigré, if something is unmemorable on the album then it's that song; I've listened to the album several times and still can't remember anything other from the song that it might've been fast.

I like the song, but I don't think it's a great choice for a single.I think I've heard it so much now that I'm getting bored of it a bit.I prefer Still a long way to go as a second single.
