Working visas cost money .. the venue will want a cut.. promoters... management want paying ... catering cost money... crew need paying ... insurance ... flights.. hiring the tour bus ... just some expenses ...

Don't forget the cost of shipping all the equipment. Guitars, drums, amps, etc.

and I mean given their management and label know what they are doing...i doubt they are making a loss on purpose. Transporting equipment across the US must cost a lot too.
