my mate from Leeds wanted to buy the tickets in the venue but it looks that the standings are sold out, but they're still on seetickets.

That is shocking, dare i say almost tragic, the Manics dont deserve the humiliation of playing a gig to that amount. I feel lost with the state of music!

Should've done Wolvo again! Always get a good turnout there!

That's true but it's a pain in the arse to get to if you're coming from the East. The trains don't run late enough to get you back afterwards and I like my hubcaps

The new academy is a lovely venue, and great for access. A far better view of the stage from any angle I feel.

Wow, is it right that the curfew there is 10pm? Seems very early if true.

I agree. It's too close to London, but with terrible public transport back. That, coupled with it being mid week meant that I/we didn't bother with that one.

It really is. I'm only 5ft3 but I've stood in the middle of the room and been able to see fine, I can't do that in many venues! I don't even know why it's possible because the floor isn't sloped and the stage isn't that raised.

It's great. Excellent sounds, easy access, great view, decent size. Quite a bit smaller than the Civic but that will only add to it I think.

Can i Disagree?

Example From my front door.

Front Door, 31/328 Bus to Westbourne Park Hammersmith & Shitty Line tube station to Upminster, about 1 hr.

Upminster to Westcliff on Sea (Cliffs Pavilion 3 mins walk away) only 30 mins by C2C Rail.

Very do-able even to get back by 1am in the Morning.

Or you can go from West Ham or Fenchurch st.

Come on Londoners, you lazy people!

Example from my front door:

Walk a few metres to the bus stop, followed by 10mins on the number 9 bus and im there...easy

Seriously tho, southend has 2 railway lines (one only a matter of minutes away as Dext said), and 2 A roads to London which are easy to get to + parking is ample and easy to get out of.

Nice to see another Lincolnshire based Manics fan b_man!
I ordered our tickets for Lincoln from seetickets - have I 'seen' my tickets yet? Have I buggery! We got some tickets for Cambridge too from either ticketline or ticketmaster and they have arrived though. Has anyone else got their tickets through from seetickets for either Lincoln or other gigs??
