Will the band or other famous folks be going to any of the dates?

I think it's highly unlikely any of the band would be, seeing as they chose not to get behind the project after they were filmed for it. I'm sure Simon Price'll turn up though!

Unfortunately, we the filmmakers are not able to make it to the Glasgow screening for a Q&A. However, we are working on getting the theatre to accompany the film with the 4-song concert video from the Past Present Future Tour. We will update if we get any news about this.

At present, there are no plans for any famous people to come to any of the dates, but if they want to show up, they are of course more than welcome!

It's not so much that they chose not to get behind it as that they felt it was important that it be our project and not theirs. They encouraged us to take total creative control during the making of the film, wanting, as they said, to see what our spin on them would be rather than their spin filtered through us, or our spin filtered through them! They cooperated graciously with the filming sessions that we needed for completion of the project, and then left it in our hands to move on to their next thing.

Here is some commentary from Sean relating to why the band did not feel a need to be involved in the project once the filming was completed:

I just saw the trailer on Twitter and I have to say it made me very excited to see the full film (although with slight trepidation that I be in there saying something stupid...).

Not sure I can make any of the screenings sadly but I assume it'll be available online at somepoint?

Nice little exclusive clip of Sean there, thanks for that I have a feeling this is from maybe 2009 when they went to the USA?

Sean's right I suppose. There's been a million thinggs said about The Beatles but you may as well watch The Anthology. Similarly, you may as well read Everything about MSP, or watch this film.

Hi, I went to look at the tickets on the Chapter website and, along with the 8pm on 30th Jan, there is 3.30pm on 31st Jan. Apart from price, are there any differences with these screenings (do both have the filmmakers Q&A?)?
Thanks

Ignore this question, not being very observant today "+ Join us for a Q&A with the filmmakers and an exclusive compilation of concert footage on Fri 30 Jan "

I totally get what Sean is saying here, there are maybe 2 or 3 Led Zeppelin biographies worth reading, the rest are just the same stuff recycled. Throughout numerous appearances in magazines and on talk shows, Jimmy Page has really been like a broken record the last 30 years.

So in the end I think MSP's decision is for the better.

The Manchester screening is the weekend before my birthday. Serendipitous timing for boozing afterwards.
