JDB forward to Stuart Adamson book, and Mojo

Hi all

Flicking through the new issue of Mojo I found a couple of things of things of interest to Manics fans. Firstly, a review of the Blackwood gig (like the gig, dislike the muted-for-radio sound). Secondly a review of a book of Skids and Big Country guitarist Stuart Adamson, featuring an Introduction by Ian Rankin and a Forward by JDB. Thirdly, the cover CD - which is themed around 80s protest music - features the original McCarthy version of 'Red Sleeping Beauty' which I hadn't heard before.

The main feature is about The Smiths which will, i'm sure, also be of interest to plenty around here.

The Adamson book is here; http://www.amazon.co.uk/Stuart-Adams...8894399&sr=8-1

I only know the obvious Skids songs - 'Into The Valley', 'The Saints Are Coming' - and don't know anything by Big Country. Worth getting into?

I'd recommend checking out Big Country, definitely! I've got a best of compilation and the album The Seer.
