What are the chances of 20th Anniversary Vinyl Pressing of 'The Holy Bible'?

Likely? Unlikely? The most likely scenario I see happening is a big boxset that includes all those extra "pictures" and things Nicky and James dug up. Whether or not there will be a vinyl is lost to me. I hope they do release one though. No joke, if I can get The Holy Bible on vinyl (and frame it of course), my life (and my music collection) will feel a little more complete.

Seems unlikely there will be anything released, given there was a 10th. At least in my opinion. Vinyl would be nice though.

there was no vinyl for the 10th and seeing with Recordstore day etc vinyl sales have shot up, i reckon there would be huge interest if they did it properly. They won't bother tho

edit: Well maybe not HUGE interest but you know…. interest

This would be so good. I'd love this. I've got the picture disc but a really well put together 180g gatefold would be brilliant.

We can but hope… this is, after all, an album that has never had a proper vinyl release.

picture disc / coloured vinyl are meant to be sonically inferior… not that i can tell but hey ho

edit: also the picture discs come in clear plastic sleeves that just look untidy and always crease at the edges. Much nicer to have a thick cardboard gatefold

In the mid 1990's very little vinyl was pressed. It really was the death of vinyl. There were many releases by big bands of the time who only released on cd. Record companies weren't interested in vinyl anymore.

If you look around for albums that were released on vinyl at this time they are very scarce and trade second hand for a very large price. America was still releasing a small amount of vinyl but not very much.

"The Holy Bible" must have been one of these cases where it went straight on cd and not vinyl.

That would be incredible! I'd absolutely love that! But the record frames I currently have won't fit a larger gatefold, so part of me would be just fine with a normal record sleeve. But I damn well know if they release a gatefold, I'll just go find a record frame that will fit it properly.

No, there was a picture disk, just not a regular one (although it's long been claimed there was).
