Most of the board seems to have been at Move, that would explain the crowd as no one really went to Move yet it had some of the greatest lineups with one including the Cure.

I joined FD around the time of the Move gig. That was one mad MSP filled weekend.

Well I only have 8 and My first one was 1999 and I'll be 29 this year...

My excuse however, is that the band severely tested my love over the Forever Delayed & Lifeblood eras and I totally lost interest for a bit. Its why I missed the PPF tour. Seeing them in Manchester in the Xfm Winter Wonderland Thing in 2006 though got me back on board a bit, even though they played Autumnsong for the first time. I could tell it was shit even then.

Seeing them in Leeds in 2008 properly reignited the Love Affair however, and I was rewarded with Journal For Plague Lovers!

We've had a rocky ride me and the Manics, but I wouldn't change them for the world

To be fair, you still have the first gig to look forward to. Which probably puts you in the best position!

Just the one - Blackburn was my first gig.

I only got into them last August, and a couple of months previously a friend had said something about wanting to see them in Leeds in October, which for some unknown reason made me think "I should listen to more of the Manics output than Tolerate & ADFL". By the time I had started to fall hopelessly in love with the band, Leeds had already sold out but I was lucky that a music-obsessed relative who lives in Rochdale was interested in seeing them at Blackburn and that it still hadn't sold out 3 weeks before the gig. I'm quite annoyed with myself for not thinking of listening to them earlier because I could have seen them more times by now if I had!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a December tour, especially as I'll break up from uni on 9th December (fingers crossed I get into Birmingham) and will definitely be trying to make up for lost time
