The "I can't afford to buy Futurology" Thread

Is anyone else in this sorry situation? I'm listening to it vicariously through reviews...

Sort of. I had plans for Monday but something happened.
Thursday giro day might have been a shoe in, but I've been invited to a cough medicine convention in Huddersfield at the weekend and... well! How can I refuse that!
So if the con is off I'll go for the deluxe, but if it's on then it'll be a lot longer.

A cough medicine convention sounds brilliant.

I've quit torrenting because I was getting so paranoid about getting prosecuted. Just before my ISP started blocking public trackers.

This is what I'm doing. Not really out of financial reasons, just decided CDs are yesterday's technology and I'm not gonna buy them anymore. Felt a bit weird looking at the album in Tower today, but tbh I tend to flick through sleevenotes etc. once and rarely look at them again.

Spotify not very satisfactory though, only seems to have deluxe version so you have to sit through demos, plus it seems to play loads of other randon Manics tracks even more so than with other albums.

I won't be buying it but will be checking it out on Spotify. Stopped buying albums about 4 years ago in majority of cases.

Just click into the album, then click into the disc if it's split. If it's not split then just click something else once it's over. It will always auto skip to the next release etc, unless you click into the album itslelf.

You mean keep hitting shuffle play once each track is finished? Are you not likely to get the same track more than once and some never, like Panini stickers.

Unhappy

I'm in the same boat , since we do not earn british pounds or euros but pesos, we can't afford to buy something that for a lot of people here is a luxury. Ok, i wanted to start my LP collection and so I decided to spent my last on the LP version of KYE ,wich I didn't have in a physical support yet. For now is Futurology not in my list of priorities but the 20th anniversary of THB edition, i'm looking since too much time ago for it. Why you dont try with Soulseek? Here's Spotify not a good option, since here in mexico is not still Futurology realeased
Sorry for my poor english
