Maybe Stay Beautiful goes for me because the official studio version is censored, while on concerts the band has fixed that up by letting the audience sing that "fuck off". But then again, here my favourite is the demo version.

Another vote for Motorcycle Emptiness here, well beefed up and great sped up a bit. The recent Revols have been great too, menacing solo after the dip in the middle. Besides those, Europa Geht Durch Micht, Cardiff Afterlife and This Joke Sport Severed are the ones that jump to mind for me.

I'd say if you're actually at a gig, with the depth of the sound all around you, pretty much most songs sounds better live. Most significantly when they've played stuff from GT and THB though, and also when they did Sleepflower in Leicester.

In terms of a recorded live version on CD or wherever I'd tend to agree with you though. The sound of being in a venue isn't replicated by a recording of it. There are some I prefer the live recording of though - Crucifix Kiss and Motown Junk definitely.

I was actually on about recorded live versions, been at a gig and thought they sounded good but when its put up on Youtube or anywhere else on internet it sounds awful to me.

Agreed, I don't check that stuff out much unless I hear that something is tried much differently. Like the acoustic Methodone Pretty, which I wasn't actually that keen on but I quite enjoy bands restyling stuff.

It's not war is another one, those dreadful synth strings are happily low in the mix.

I'm not sure but I think Futurology live sounds better than album version. And Show Me The Wonder too

Wow, that was awesome, the audience reacting to James letting go before the first chorus. And is he attempting some erotic dance at the start? Ty for the link!
