Yeah, the choice of a KYE track feels like it could be leading up to an announcement for that. Fingers crossed.

Agreed on the lack of B-sides. Even the odd digital single with some would be good, but this time even the deluxe edition didn't come with any bonus tracks, meaning the album + two Japanese ones must be everything they recorded. A long way away from the nine B-sides we got with KYE, on top of the 16 track album, or the 15 recorded for Lifeblood, SATT and PFAYM.

Yeah it’s a shame. Practically another album’s worth of songs every time they released a new album.

Not just about the numbers alone either. Think everyone agrees that they’ve done so many b-sides over the years that could’ve replaced album tracks. A real shame.

There's more precision now? If they're back or close to usual writing outputs. Obviously I'd want them to make another album as quickly as possible.
Think next year, not just KYE but 2022 will see some compilation stuff.
Full release of remixed 02 show? Ehhh... See what happens. Given up all hope of ever seeing that completed.
I'm still hoping Snowing In Sapparo gets a Christmas release.

They’ve just put out a duets playlist, so maybe LRS was meant to go on that (it has Gruff Rhys on the live version)

That would explain why Spectators of Suicide only just appeared on Spotify and only the English version. They've said there will be a series of playlists so perhaps the remix of Design for Life that was added this week was so that it can be part of a remix playlist....

In which case, bummer another playlist 3 people will listen to, and no Blu Ray

Pity it'll just play randomly and then include Manics song not on the playlist.
But The Duets is a lovely tracklist. So happy a couple of non band duets included.
Could bode well for Nicky solo album?
It would make a good setlist!

According to a screencap on The Anchoress's Facebook page, TUVL makes 3rd in Record Collector end of year list. Nick Cave and Warren edit: ELLIS number one spot.

Happy first birthday to the Ultra Vivid Lament! (And anniversary of the Halifax Piece show). I'd write a few paragraphs on how much I still enjoy it but today is a Know Your Enemy day!

I couldn't find the thread but Happy Birthday. A really successful album that still sounds just as magnificent throughout than their previous four albums did a year in.
TUVL through filter of DTTR? Nah, they'll probably do something different to both next time.
