We'll find out when the album comes out. Wonder who will be right?

If I recall correctly (which I might not), there was that one SATT lyric that caused a lot of confusion and debate after the leak and when the official lyrics were released with the album, the actual word turned out to be neither of the ones people thought. I think it was something from Patsy but can't remember clearly.

So that's also an option!

My mind is still inserting "Touch" in place of scars/stars, shania twain style.

I think its scars though!

i've also heard "stuff" whilst listening through headphones.

i still don't have a definite answer. i'll just alternate between all three until the album booklet arrives.

It reads more like a JDB lyric.

It is scars. It really is.

I've been playing with the audio off the radio a bit. My theory is that I think maybe the cymbal crash is fooling some people's ears/brain into hearing a 'T' instead of a hard 'C'. Try running it through a bandpass filter and it's much more clearly 'scars' in my opinion.

Of course this post will look incredibly foolish if it turns out to be 'stars'.

I'm also sure he sings 'and I will pay mine' in the second verse, not '... won't ...'.

i've just realised that it does sound a lot like "will" in the second verse. i was just hoping that it wasn't just blatant repetition of the line. also, i liked the idea of wire contradicting himself in the two verses.

back to stars/scars, scars does make more sense. and i like the idea that it references adfl.
though i have no idea what a "bandpass filter" is, it sounds complicated.

but i can wait until the lyric book comes out.
