Gutted. They managed to nick my phone during Thursday's gig. I didn't realise they did that at gigs(naive), and i only noticed when another girl was looking for hers.
I decided straightawt that it wasn't worth searching for it and instead just enjoyed the rest of the gig. Thing is i had pretty tight jeans on so kinda suprised they got it, still at least it wasn't my camera or purse.

It was just a second hand PAYG Nokia 6300, not anything as posh as an iPhone.
Phoned up Virgin today got the SIM card and phone blocked. They're also sending me a replacement SIM with the same number, i'm really glad cause i've had that number for 6 years.

Yeah, no one need lose their number. That would be the final insult if they could!

Seemed there were some pros at work that night I'd gone from having the best bouncy manicy experience of my life to just standing there watching them and thinking about a phone. Took me until the end of the JFPL set to get over that, and the gig still feels like a blur to me.

Awww i wasn't going to let anything the gig for me.
Also is it weird that i was more upset about the prospect of losing my number than the actual phone. My Dad got really annoyed that i didn't phone him the next day, honestly he's such a worry bug.

I thought I was being paranoid, but I thought I felt someone going at my back pocket on Thursday night.

I knew there was nothing in that pocket, but just the thought of it was driving me mad.

That's horrible - I'm actually glad that the pockets in my jeans are small enough that getting anything out of them takes a bit of effort.

I would really hope, though, that no-one keeps anything valuable in their back pocket - the only thing that goes in there is my cigarette lighter.

Sorry to hear about people who had things nicked. Saw a few looking for phones on Saturday (though I think at least one had gone on the floor as a bit of something was located). I always wedge things in as tightly as possible and (if I remember) take a couple of plastic bags to stuff in to my pockets on top of my wallet / phone just to make it as awkward as possible for anyone to pinch something.

I usually take my fleece with me with stuff in zipped pockets, and tie it round my waist, but it might be too hot at Wolves for that. I remember taking a shoulder bag once, and trying to get out of the crowd mid gig, my bag got trapped between two people and they didn't understand why I needed to separate them in order to progress further myself.

I want to catch some snaps with my phone at Wolverhampton, and now very hesitant to place my phone in my back pocket. I saw Morrissey recently, and had my leather jacket on during the gig and had my phone within my inside pocket... it got very hot.

Seems I shall be drinking lots of water pre-gig!

That is really shitty that people have had stuff stolen at the London gigs, I hope you all manage to at least keep your numbers for the phones and that you have insurance for the hardware.

I'm always quite concious of my stuff at gigs (and in general, my sister instilled a level of paranoia in me during my first week living in London ) and my mission in life is to find the perfect bag to keep stuff safe. Last night I had my iPod, phone and money in a bag that has front and rear zipped pockets, and had the phone/money/iPod in the back pocket closest to my body. It helped being on the barrier, and Emma was next to my bag so it was safe.

Putting anything of value in a back pocket is a no-no, not just at gigs but in any public area.

If you have it tied round your waist you don't really notice it. I often take mine (tied round my waist) purely as a means of hiding the bottle of water - with top! - that I'm trying to sneak in!

As someone who had their wallet stolen during the Manics at the O2 last year I feel really sorry for everyone who lost or had stuff nicked. It ruined my whole night and the band were still on so I couldn't enjoy the rest of the set. Then after the security were the most unhelpful bunch of bastards i've ever known and were just intent on making me leave when I wanted to go up to the lost property and wait to see if it got handed in. So yeah these people who just go to gigs to steal stuff out of peoples pockets deserve to have their arm snapped off at the elbow and if it ever happens to me again I'm prepared to administer such swift and instant justice. At the Roundhouse I kept my hand in pocket and held my phone even when I was doing the old pogoing down the front. And a wallet chained to a belt is a very good idea too.
