I think they should play it live and wheel out Naysmith who just stands there on stage with a microphone going "SNIFF SNIFF SNIFF SNIFF". And when it's not needed on the song he can just jump up and down like a twat and headbang and air-keyboard to himself. A brilliant return!

I think they should leave being sniffy to the audience.
However that is precisely what it is, someone being sniffy. An ironic sound effect, kind of fits the theme of the song. I forget who pointed that out first.

I'd say it's a good title but it's a shame it had to be wasted on such a terrible pile of lyrics...

Also I feel like the sound is actually some sort of fret noise/scraping on the guitar but it doesn't sound quite right to be that... sniffing it is I guess. |

Chaps, I believe I may have the answer. It sounds to me like air being forced through some bellows. There's a Hammond Organ in the mix down there somewhere by the sound of it, and if it's an old fashioned type (as in, not an electronic synthesiser version) then could it be the sound of the pedal feeding air to the organ?

It's James sniffing his way through his latest few.
It's a bit like the burping on Kevin Carter

Noo, it's really there!
It sounds a bit like a burp, but it's more like a spring or something. |
