I think this year Manic Street Preachers have probably been the fourth biggest expense in my life after rent, food and booze.

King Tuts was amazing, was really lucky to get there. The early part of the tour was just so convenient for me. Live in Manchester, crashed at parents in Hull and a friend in Lincoln. Sheffield, Blackburn, Leeds and Liverpool I was able to get trains back to Manchester after the gig. Bristol with crashed at a friend's. Shame about the London gigs being called off but I had a great time with the crowd I met down there and hoping to see a lot of the same faces again.

The album... Well, I won't say I was disappointed. Journal For Plague Lovers is my second favourite Manics album so it was always going to be hard to follow, and y'know what they're like... They don't really follow an album so much as run away from it, no matter how well it goes down. Disappointing not to see more songs from the album, but 6 will have to do for me by the looks of things.

Made some nice additions to the collection too. FD gold book £60, Roses and LBN hit factory promos £80 the pair, Australia Lionrock white label £4, Everything Must Go Chemical Brothers white label £5, Canadian Holy Bible £25, Sleepflower promo £30. Happy with all those prices anyway...

Bring on 2011.

Good album, great gig, shit TV shows, news of a pointless greatest hits compilation, JDB and KT Tunstall not killing Fairytale, I almost went to Blackwood.

That morning train was lovely. I was very fond of the mulled wine on the barrier.

Free day off instead of Birmingham was ace.

Falling in love with BSP has definitely been the highlight for me. Hanna you are a bad influence at gigs. NINNY WIRE.

My other good things are

- Greggy and Kelly's puns in Bristol
- The indoor queuing and cake also in Bristol
- queue pizza
- getting a leg hug from Sam
- getting touched on the arm by James
- my lovely set of BSP mugs
- getting to see everyone lots

NINNY WIRE.
I'm gonna steal these highlights too. They were all awesome. Also I'll add me and Kelly's three hour (or four...) laughing fit after Birmingham while talking about Richey, WayneSHH and the Natwest Barclays Midlands Lloyds. And staying up with Claire, Suzanne and Craig drinking and eating the biggest pizza in the world after Edinburgh and before my 5am 13-hour trip home.

It's probably rather telling the best thing about the Manics this year for me was them having BSP as their support band Although the Manchester gig in general was pretty damn good. The album didn't leave much of an impression on me though I'm afraid.

I loved singing along to that in Leicester! Last Christmas at Birmingham was also pretty special. I'd never heard it either.

Shame I wasn't able to join in much. Had been looking forward to that too!

Ending it...to be honest. Bad year for the Manics, at least next year is the 10th Anniversary of Know Your Enemy which on March 19th i plan to celebrate by playing the album in full on keys in my bedroom!

Ok, i really liked It's Not War...still think it's a great song. That is it though.
