the third single
I think that they must release postcards from a young man as single. The last shot with a (please, please, please) good video.

Third single should be Hazelton Avenue. It has a hook as soon as it starts and it is recognisable which is what every other song on the album outside of Don't Be Evil doesn't have.
So yeah, Hazelton or Don't Be Evil if they do get a third single, I somehow doubt that though.

Hazelton Av would be ok, Postcards would be better.
But like you say, I don't think Sony will be clamouring for them to release another one if the best they can do is 44.

They'll probably do Postcards. If I had it my way it would be Don't Be Evil or All We Make Is Entertainment....or they may shock us all and release The Future Has Been Here 4 Ever!

I say postcards because is what they said. If I were the person that select the singles, I had selected hazelton no doubt. Is the catchiest song in the album and after hazelton had selected golden platitudes.

If there is a third single, my money would definitely be on Golden Platitudes. The band are very proud of the song and play it towards the end of their sets. If not that, I imagine it will be Postcards From A Young Man or Hazelton Avenue.

Postcards From A Young Man, and reclaim a bit of dignity.

Postcards is anthemic, EMG-ish. I prefer Golden Platitudes but Postcards would be the better single.

If they release GP they'll have to put the hypnosis tape disclaimer at the beginning for the radio broadcasts - 'please do not listen to this song whilst driving or operating heavy machinery'.

Someone should mash up GP and Green Day's Warning.

if some kind of nothingness make postcards from a young man sell almost 10000 copies in two weeks they are oligate to release the third single. Perfect symmetry reacher #150 and keane released the fouth single "betten than this". #44 position is not reason beacuse postcards is catchy and may like to much people.

Whatever they release it'll probably finish lower than SKON did. Platitudes and PCFAYM, maybe as a double A Side might stand a chance, but only if it's promoted well, they dont do the 'CD2 only available through Townsend' thing, push for download sales

Please, no more singles from this album. If they're not going to bother the charts there's no point releasing them.
