Has anyone seen a film by Werner Herzog called Even Dwarfs Started Small?

Plot from wikipedia (because I'm lazy):
'A group of dwarfs confined in an institution on a remote island rebel against the guards and director (all dwarfs as well) in a display of mayhem. The dwarfs gleefully break windows and dishes, abandon a running truck to drive itself in circles, engineer food fights and cock fights, set fire to pots of flowers, kill a large pig, torment some blind dwarfs, and crucify a monkey.'

I watched it last year and ever since hearing Peeled Apples have considered this was maybe the source. I've read an interview where Nicky mentions Herzog, I think, although not in this context obviously.

Yeah I've seen it and thinking about it, it could well be the source.It's a pretty odd film although not one of Herzog's best in my opinion.

Nicky mentioned the Herzog film Aguire:Wrath of God (a seriously good film btw) as the inspiration behind "4everdelayed" (the song) and Herzog is mentioned in "The convalescent."

Plus with Richey being a fan of Ian Curtis, who watched the Herzog film "Stroszek" before he hung himself, he was almost certainly aware of him.

Especially for not native english speakers, manics.nl is a way to understand their songs...in fact i barely understand the meaning of some JFPL songs!

Neither do I, and I'm an English English graduate. I think it's down to more than just native speaking/cultural reference points

Ha. Just googled the film after watching it and this thread came up. The dwarf/cockfight reference is pretty clear, but wasn't there a quote at some point from Richey about piglets suckling their dead mother (which happens in the film)? It's a very fucked up film.
