the above saw a very angry James put Nicky Wire on musical probation for a while. when Nicky sneaked the song out as a single whilst James was shown an image of a speaker with a pie on it, the Supreme Council of the Manics banned Nicky Wire from writing anything for a whole album, hence JFPL being the next release.

I think of it as a Summer song as well despite the fact it's called Autumnsong!

Just by their standards really. It's an alright pop rock song as it goes, if a little mindless. But thats not what I want from the band.
