I wonder if they release the new song 'Orwellian' that Nicky says they finished before lockdown, if they don't play the December concerts, or perhaps another of the demos Nicky mentioned.

Orwellian was released in 2019. It was always released in 2019. Any suggestion it was released in 2020 or 2021 must be in error.

So I was wondering what songs kept the band from number one. In ye olde chart days.
Return of the Mack kept off ADFL
Valerieeeeeee call on medddddds kept off TLORN.
Trying to think what kept off YLAINE. Couldn't think. Had to Google.
Beautiful Liar by Beyonce and Shakira!

Empty Souls was beaten by an Elvis reissue, which feels somewhat unfair.

Finally got classic rock magazine with JDB interview.
Good first question: 14 years between albums? Who are you, Def Leppard?

Decentralized or not, the covid apps still have legit privacy issues that haven't been fully addressed i don't think. Still, it's better than the gov's first utter omnishambles of an attempt, scrapping it after they'd already spaffed millions developing it and delaying something that actually "works" for months on end. I say "works" because the jury is still out, in many respects it's theatre, giving you a false sense of security by relying on bluetooth which was never designed for this type of thing and is going to generate many false positives and negatives. I worry people will be expecting this app to give them covid armour when they go out but it's efficacy is a HUGE unknown, especially when you read technical discussions between engineers who work with bluetooth extensively.

Because Suicide..isn't even a Manics song so Autumnsong should edge it? No? That not your argument??

I love Autumnsong ....bit more hopeful than Suicide is Painless ...debatable as the great Dorothy Parker said...guns aren't lawful, nooses give, gas smells awful...might as well live
