Yes they were, and they talked about the Manics in interviews a lot. Also, the drum intro to Millionaire Sweeper is nicked from Everything Must Go

Kele from the Bloc Party has said that THB is one of his favorite albums.
Last year at the Toronto gig, I was stunned by all the Canadian musicians who came out. The one who sticks out in my mind is Sam Roberts.

I forgot an obvious one, Ginger and CJ from the Wildhearts like the Manics and have known them throughout their career (I believe Richey was a drinking mate of Ginger's at some point).

Not sure if they count as 'famous' but The Wombats are big fans I think...sure they've mentioned the Manics in interviews and I remember their singer standing on his chair and cheering when they picked up the Godlike Genius award

Someone was in Radio Times recently saying how they were starstruck meeting JDB. Can't remember for the life of me who it was, some bloke off the telly.
Dominic West, that was the guy.

That Johnny Bovril from Razorshite lists Motorcycle Emptiness as one of his favourite songs ever.
You've just reminded me of a conversation I had with Johnny, it was in 2004, the night the Cardiff gig was cancelled and later re-scheduled. I spotted Johnny and had a chat to him. I asked him what it was like, supporting the Manics. He said that it was a great thrill, getting to watch the band play songs that he grew up listening to and liking.

You can add Darren Hayman from Hefner to this list, although he isn't a fan now. Apparently he used to like them and saw them when Richey was still around.

Jian Ghomeshi dragged a bunch canadian artists to the show in Toronto. I think that's why Sam Roberts was there. It was definitely a great show and they all seemed in great spirits. Especially JDB who even stuck around to suffer talking to me a bit after the show.

I believe that Mark from JJ72 is quite a fan. I'm sure they supported them once as well.
And here Mark says that I to Sky is their Holy Bible, and that 8 years on it would be held in the same regard. Shame...

I think Alexander Armstrong might be a fan, he's made some more manics related tweets today after his ones around the Sheffield show

Yes he did! He really liked SATT apparently. It takes all sorts...

I wonder what he made of JFPL?

John Owen Jones, singer/actor (Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera) posted on twitter If anyone fancies stalking him, I just saw Nicky Wire from the Manic Street Preachers go in to the Haymarket Hotel. I laughed so hard when I saw that! When fandoms collide...
