I think the potential number 1 has made Wire more prone to liking people at the moment.

Or perhaps he told Nicky that he'd bought the album this week in all three formats.

like once he dissed Richard Archer from Hard-Fi misunderstanding his question for Big Gig and later it turned out he loved Motorcycle Emptiness etc.. Well done, Wire, well done.

I remember the Hard Fi one, that was NME editing his comment about the one question you could ask the Manics and it came across as 'When are you going to retire'.
