they need to get maybe Jon Savage the England's Dreaming guy to write their biog come manifesto....instead of all these photo album bollox....they are good looking chaps fair do's but still some words please to read for the literate intelligent and discerning fan base they obviously have would be good

He didn't. That was Simon Price too. Wire was originally going to do it but considering he only managed to read a third of the book - in Price's words - before giving up as he found it too difficult (or just plain bad, perhaps ), he didn't feel qualified to in the end.

Not sure exactly what the band members' views on it are now, although I don't think they much care about autobiographies and the like anyway.

You are spot on, I came across my old copy (thought i'd given it to a charity shop ages ago) and it all came flooding back to me.I'd go with the plain bad but then again most band books written without objectivity come off that way. The Joe Strummer biography was another lost opportunity in that regard.

I didn't think it is that bad, a lot better than a lot of the others - also it has nothing to do with them whether it comes out or not.
