I can't help but feel that the US mix on vinyl would have made a better choice, rather than reprinting something that already exists and charging 50% more than it's worth.

(Saying that, if the record shop in Newton Abbot still has a copy after I'm done at the beer festival, I'll probably be buying it)

Agreed, I'll buy one just because I'm a sucker for novelty items haha but hopefully at some point an individual proper vinyl release will be issued.

This. All day this. If it had been the US mix on Vinyl I would have been queuing at some ungodly hour with the best of them.

Saying that Biffy have released Puzzle on double vinyl for the first time ever for Record Store Day apparently, only 1000 copies too. I might well be queuing anyway. Bastards.

If anyone in the UK plans on going to RSD please get in touch, I'm trying to get the Tom Jones "Chills and Fever/Breathless" 45 (which isn't dropping in the States) and I'd be happy to trade a THB picture disc (which I predict will be in plentiful supply here) for it in case anyone gets shut out.

Other side looks better...

http://recordstoreday.co.uk/exclusiv...eet-preachers/

They're calling it THB20 but also stating it's the 'original mix'. So the THB20 remaster or original?

Either way, it's not going to make much difference on picture disc.

1500 isn't all that rare either. When's the last time they shifted that many vinyl copies of an album?

The touts see "Record Store Day Exclusive" and try and snap up everything they can though. I agree thouh that 1500 normally wouldn't be that rare, which leads to my problem with Record Store Day - more releases like this, throughout the year but exclusive to Independent Record Stores would surely be better than this one mad day!

I think more "real fans" and less touts would get their hands on stuff, and it would still get people through the doors of Independent shops who normally wouldn't go in them...

So will there be two versions of the picture disc then? One say original mix and another says US.

How much does everyone reckon they'll both cost?

If I don't manage to get at least one I'm going to rip my eyes out before I have to see people listing them on eBay.

I swore I wasn't going to do RSD this year after last year... however...

I'm guessing the US is getting the 'Original Mix' picture disc as the vinyl included in The Holy Bible 20 set that got released the other day is the 'US Mix', so in the UK it's flipped? Anybody able to confirm that?

Also, for price - I wouldn't be surprised if it's around the £20/£25 mark. That's what I'm budgeting it for at this point anyway.

I much prefer the original mix, soundwise (shoot me)

But I'd much rather have the US mix for the artwork.
