Q Awards pics + Simple Minds say nice things about JDB too....

"We know James on a personal level now....I'd definitely like to be in a band with James"

The Alt J album is actually very good. Not number 2 good, but surprisingly good.

41 in NME's Top 50 and the single Futurology was 35 in their Top 50 tracks!

Find the single a bit boring really, but there you go... Well done Manics.

Odd how the single charts higher than the album in NME's crazy minds.

Futurology to me is a far better song than WMTTB, but not the better single of the two (in the old-fashioned, commercially-savvy sense).

Still loving this album; after seeing the band live Saturday night here in Dublin, I put on Futurology when home and before I knew it, I'd listened twice! Had it on again yesterday - I feel it's a sterling album, there isn't any track on it I don't like, ditto the 7 B Sides.

Quite a run they've had, reviews I read online talk of the last 4 albums; all so different to each other, but all of a high quality, 'Journal..' to 'Futurology'.

I listened to it last week for the first time since it leaked and I was pleasantly surprised. I had made my own version of the album using the demos and extra tracks I preferred to I had completely forgotten about some on the production elements on the finished album. It is patchy but it's worth a (re)listen.

I'm finding myself listening to RTF more than Futurology. I think I relate more to the themes on RTF at this time of year. Futurology is definately a spring soundtrack.
