MP3 help

I have uploaded all my manics albums and singles to I tunes and for ease of changing CDs in the car etc I want to burn a disc of the album + all the bsides for that album on 1 disc. For some like lifeblood etc they fit fine but others ( like GT) have 30-odd tracks with the bsides

So my questions are:

1. Can I compress the tracks to fit on 1 disc for album + bsides and if so what's the easiest way

2. If so, will it compress it to the point of music being terrible quality (unlistenable?)

Thanks

Haven't done it for years, but isn't it limited by the running time, not the quality?

im not sure - I thought limiting the quality would reduce the space taken up on the cd

I could be very wrong about that though, im not the most technically savvy it must be said

If you're making an audio CD, it's the running time and the quality makes no difference.

If you're making a data CD (ie for use in an MP3 CD player), quality will affect it but there's no chance 30 tracks will be a problem, you're probably looking about half capacity of a CD at top MP3 quality.
