Has your opinion of PFAYM changed?

Having read a lot of stuff on hear over the last couple of months, there now seems to be a lot more positive stuff written about the new album as opposed to when it was first leaked back in August. My main question is: has your opinion of PFAYM changed from when you first album?

Has it grown on you or did you love it when you first heard it?

Or do you stick by your opinions formed when you first listened to the album?

I can't think, and I can't paint, I can't love!

It's grown on me a bit, but there are still tracks I hate.

My opinion of Manics stuff always changes after a while. I think their albums age gracefully and better than the band themselves would agree.

I originally wrote the album off but now I kinda like some songs. Over all I do like the general idea or theme of the album - a physical format, something tangible that you can touch that isn't a facebook page or whatever. Good stuff. Too many chic Manics in Vogue fans are quick to write them off regardless of what they do.

I was pleasantly surprised when I heard it for the first time, as i had been expecting it to be their worst album ever. Initially I couldn't see anything that would have me reaching for the album in years to come, but I'm getting to the point where there are perhaps a few tracks I'll get an urge to listen to in the future.

It's grown on me, but I would never say I love it. It's decent, and that's it.

It's not as terrible as I first thought but I still don't like it very much.

I like a lot of the tracks now but some I still find utter crap, and the whole thing is still underwhelming.

I'll go for the option "Thought it was pleasant, but mediocre at first and still do".

The album was awful when I first heard it and so it remains.

I've gradually warmed to it but I feel like an appreciative outsider.

It's not the album I wanted them to make and it's my least favourite to date.

Hmm not really. I thought it was merely alright when I first got it and still do now. I like the songs I liked to begin with and still don't really care much for the rest despite repeated listens.

was and still is GODAWFUL to my ears. it's puzzling me how you can manage to write an album so bad. there is literally everything i dislike about music packed into this. i'd rather listen to lady gaga.

I still love it. Sure, I've grown to love certain tracks a little more and some a little less, but my opinion of the album as a whole is relatively the same. I don't really understand fans of the band who like anything other than just the first three albums hating it, but it takes all sorts.

The only album I've disliked has been 'Lifeblood' - in that I only liked a couple of songs. Maybe the rest of it will grow on me one day.

Yeah it's got a bit better. I always liked it mind you, but certain tracks have grown on me more. If I were to order the tracks now from best to worst it'd look a little bit different.

But yeah. Still a good album with a couple of flaws but generally rather enjoyable.
